Hello Singapore!

We fly away to Singapore, though it is not that far. This country is very far from ours, minimal pollution-all kinds, no rallies, clean and you will feel safe walking even on nights. I and hubby fly this November to look for good jobs on our field and we left Dylan for Nanay's care. It is very hard for us especially for me to leave my child and I promise to my self that I will be back for him after a month or less. I miss him so much, that every night I cried and always thinking that he was here. When we got to see Merlion, I asked daddy if we can get Dylan immediately so that he can also see what we saw. I almost got my eyes teary every time I got to see beautiful places without him. So here in Singapore, we see different races and their cultures. Most of Filipinos that we acquainted here left their loved ones in the Philippines, either their better half or their children. I feel for them, it is very hard. But, I know I have to be strong and I just have to enjoy this blessing. After all, we have just arrived.

Bye bye Mommy and Daddy

It is really so sad that night when we left him with a very teary eyes. The moment I left him to my sisters, I don't look back and I cried a lot but I have to stay calm. After we passed the IO officer, I cried a lot on the plane and my heart really breaks into pieces. This is my first time to left him alone (without his daddy) and to think it will last for a month. And he has his instinct and he was so sad a week before we left as if he knows that we are leaving. I feel so sad and I am always praying to God to take care for him.

Father's day blessings- 3 Polo Barong and an Ovaltinies

Last Sunday was a very special day to remember the men of our life. I'm referring to our dad and the father of our children and of course our very own father- God. It was a blessed Sunday, we go to church (which we do every Sunday- to worship our very own father) and enjoy the service. After church time, I go out and search for something special and useful for my hubby- Ian. This is his 3rd year to celebrate fathers day and I think this is the best one to remember. So I found this Polo Barong (which he really wants to wear on Sunday), and from 1295php marked down to 199php for fathers day celebration. So, with my quick thinking or should I say-panic buying, I grabbed 3 of them and a pack of an Ovaltinies chocolate candies- his favorite. I get it gift wrapped-its free! When I went home, I give it to him and he was so surprised and very thankful of many blessings we both receive this fathers day. He did not know that I go to mall because of the surprise, I told him that I'll buy some stuff from an Ink shop. I felt his happiness, as for him it is not because of the gifts but because of its use and my effort of course! Here are some pics of hubby and Dylan

OWW..the pictures got stuck on my old digi cam..time to buy new, hope so..:)

A woman's right OR a woman's role

How we can distinguished our rights and roles as a woman? Is it to be assertive with our rights or to be responsible of our roles. First, it's been practiced since B.C. times that a woman has no right but has a role to help his husband through their marriage life. It's been also observed that a woman has no right to choose whom they gonna be married to. But in this generation, it's different- we got so assertive and liberated. But of course, it comes with great responsibility whether we are up with our freedom to choose and say what we wanted. Being a wife, the most responsible that we must be capable of is to be submissive to our husband. Submission is a difficult term for us women because before our husbands, we are very independent and able to manage our lives without men. But again, we women were just created to become a help to our husband- to complete the man, as it is written in the book of Genesis. Submission really means a lot, whether we follow our husband when he says something or argue with it. So, we get back being with our role- to be a help to our husband. Help means a lot, help in decision making, help in times of depression, help in times of overwhelmed...even in our least way, we have to be a helped in our husband. Come to think of it, this is really our role.

A father and son bonding at Burnham

Last April was hubby's birthday and here's a photo when we celebrate his' at Baguio for 4 days. We went to his cousin's house and make a vacation on their home without interrupting their moments, lol. At first day, we just stay at home nd make some rest after our 4-hour van trip. The next day, we went on walking and just an endless walking at session road and bought some veggies and seafoods for dinner. So, in the morning we went in Burnham Park and play along with the lagoon, bicycle and recreational area. Its just a day full of joys and worry-free. After that, we went into the public market and look for something to buy, guess what- I bought just 5 kilos of lemon (lemon is cheaper there-only 25 to 40 pesos per kilo) because lemon here is pricey. And of course, I found something interesting...basil, parsley and mint. I'll post it sometime this month. Happy birthday daddy!

Sponge Cake (Spongebob cake) on Dylan's 2nd bday

I can't help it to put a lot of effort for Dylan's party- my 2nd year old baby last May 15, 2010. He loves spongebob and wants it to be his cake's theme. Unfortunately, mom is so busy with other things for the party. It is a good thing that Mamu is here to make the pinata and cooked the chicken balls aka chicken nuggets. Tita Lyn (my brother's ex gf) is also helpful for putting hotdog and mallows on the toothpicks. And also Ate as the ice tea master. So, I got some time to buy a smal cake at Goldilocks at around 300+ pesos and some for decorations. I found this embossed spongebob sticker at my Abubot's box. So I grab my spatula and liquid food color (blue) and started to crumpled the icing and make it look likes an ocean. I also got inspired with the chocolate blocks and pearl candies so I make it look likes a treasure chest. And of course, aquatic jelly candies and chocolate coins are a must. And add some really cute flowers brought from a local market. And the stickers look like a 3D object in there plus the cute factor of a stationery fish saying "Happy 2nd birthday Dylan"- a handwritten of mine. Also, don't forget spongebob's trademark- burgers! Dylan was so amazed with his Spongebob cake and very overwhelmed with his simple party, lots of kids and play and yummy treats from mom's kitchen!

Benefits of a kiss

Our little ones need more attention than what we knew. We often take them for granted whenever they want something and cry for it. It is very important that even though we didn't give them what they want-we always make something to make them feel good. The power of kissing is beyond what we thought of it, it is one of the most precious thing to give to our love ones to show our affection and their significance. A simple kiss can say a lot of thing like, "I love you", "I miss you", "It's gonna be ok", "I'm here"- its show different positive things and yet the simplest way to show our love. There's a lot of benefits from kissing, such as- comfort, encouragement, trust, amazement, humility, respect and both of the person involve gets the benefits. Like our little ones, whenever they feel upset they need our little lips to ease their pain. Of course, no more greatness than a mother's love. Happy Mother's day everyone!
